The back board has pockets for a socket set, extra oil and what ever.Ī more useful back board, and with better lighting, and does come with side boards as well to complete your trunk, this i do sell. Now, that was the lid, now for the Back Board, basically its the one i sale to replace the OEM one, which is more useful. I then used clamp to hold lug wrench and netting which has Velcro on one side, which i can place, on the carpet and place any thing in the netting. so what i did was use card board to make the template of the board, and you can feel the spacers, also i placed some paint on the spacers and press the board on the lid the the paint left where the holes were.Īfter board is covered in carpet, use plugs to hold board attached. Hard board, the hardest part was finding the holes in the lid. What i used were these in connection with each other. If you look at the lid, you will find that you already have holes in it.
Trunk lid with expanding foam Now my lid has become useful.Īs usual no modification done to lid. it stopped the flexing, and made it more stable (heaver) made it fell like a car trunk lid. So what i did was inject the lid with expanding foam. Well the first thing i did was fix a problem with the lid, it flexes when you place your hand on the lid, i think they all do. You’ve got the lid itself, the back board hiding the gas tank, and where the spare tires sits. Glad you ask, so many possibilities, and in three places, yep i said three.
Your problem thinking good looking, just how do we do that. Lets make this space more organized useful, and good looking at the same time. Now the problem to me anyway, is that no matter what you place in the trunk its going to move around as you drive.
Take the trunk, a place for the spare tire, and just about anything. As usual for me anyway, i had wasted space that can be used.
